Tosca Schift is a Dutch visual artist whose practice spans video art, installation, performance, and expanded cinema. She creates experiential works that explore the visceral body, the multidimensionality of space, temporality, and ancestry — engaging with themes of identity, heritage, and spirituality. Through a process of spiritual inquiry, Schift illuminates and unfolds the complexities of her colonial family history, while simultaneously reflecting on its broader cosmopolitical manifestations.

Schift completed the Master of Film: Artistic Research in and Through Cinema, following a bachelor’s degree in Product Design. Her hands-on praxis, rooted in material exploration and embodied making, nurtures a sensitive attunement to the materiality of life and shapes the way she works with the camera-body, moving images, archival material and installation.

Between 2019 and 2024, Schift was part of the artist duo ANT EYE, with whom she screened and exhibited work internationally, including the Istanbul Experimental Film Festival, Lehmbruck Museum Duisburg, Prague International Design Festival and The Grey Space in the Middle. In 2022, she was awarded the Talent Development Grant from the Stimuleringsfonds (Creative Industries Fund NL).
